General Visa and Passport information for Bulgaria
The Bulgarian visas are issued by the Bulgarian embassies and consulates abroad. By applying for a Bulgarian visa, the applicant agrees that her/ his personal data appearing on the application form will be electronically stored and processed. You should know that the visa is issued only to holders of passports or travel documents that are valid for Bulgaria for at least 3 months after the end of the intended stay. These documents should contain at least one blank page for affixing of visa vignettes and other information. You should also know that all children entering the country have to have their own passport.
When you enter into Bulgaria, you should declare in written form the main purpose of your stay and the address to which you will stay. All foreign visitors should bear in mind that under the Bulgarian Law they are required to contact their local police station within 2 days of arrival in Bulgaria and present in writing the address at which they will be staying. If they are going to stay at a hotel the hotel management bears the obligation to register them at the police station.
Holders of valid ordinary passports from United Kingdom, Finland, Canada, Spain and USA do not need visa to visit Bulgaria for up to 90 days within each period of six months. *
